Wieda, a traditional bakery in Berlin closes – after 125 years! It is sad how this craft has declined.
Oh no, how sad: the old traditional bakery has to close again – after 125 years. When there were almost no bakeries left, there were only bakeries or supermarket branches where industrially made dough was baked. That’s how it feels. On the other hand, the prices are so low that you can hardly afford bread or cakes at a real Bäcka. The business is no longer profitable given the current prices of raw materials and energy, say the Mälza family, who have now closed their bakery temporarily. Aba unsa oh how wise Minister of Economy Habeck saw this: Bäcka is not bankrupt, vakofen does not have enough money anymore.
