Berlin. During a dispute in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen, a man is fatally wounded by a knife. The police arrest a suspect.
A 37-year-old man was in Gesundbrunnen on Thursday evening (center) was stabbed. Before that, the victim and the alleged perpetrator were reportedly on Böttgerstrasse at around 6 pm. parking space argued. “The person who was subsequently killed was standing sideways in a free parking space and did not want to leave,” Sebastian Büchner, spokesman for the Berlin public prosecutor’s office, told the Berliner Morgenpost.
During the argument, one man attacked the other with a knife and stabbed him in the stomach. The victim died at a hospital. He is scheduled for an autopsy later Friday. Police arrested the 29-year-old suspect. A homicide team has taken over the investigation.
According to Büchner, the victim is a Cameroonianthe alleged perpetrator is Turkish-German. “There is no evidence of a previous relationship or other motives such as racism.” The arrested man is due to appear before a judge later today.
Around 50 people at the scene hindered police work
During the police measures, about 50 people gradually gathered near the crime scene. They were arrested by authorities. One hundred implementation kept at a distance. It is understandable that the relatives of the deceased react emotionally, Jendro continued. “It cannot be that, in the rule of law, police measures are greatly hampered and bottles and stones are thrown at our colleagues.”
