You shouldn’t be too active in your free time with most casual shoes. Our partner magazine K-Tipp from Switzerland 14 sneaker models subjected to several endurance tests. Only two passed very well. The cheapest sneakers in the test narrowly missed out on a good score. All models are also available from us.
In bending and friction
The testers examined how robust the soles and heel linings of the shoes were. To do this, the soles were bent thousands of times and pressed on a rotating grinding surface. The inner linings of the heels had to prove their resistance to wet and dry abrasion. The sneakers passed these tests best. Puma Suede Classic (Price: around 100 euros) and Adidas Stan Smith Primegreen FX 5502 (around 110 euros). The sneakers also have a sturdy sole Vty (Deichmann) for about 25 euros. Only the heel padding is a little less stable than the best shoes, but it didn’t break in the test.
Many brand name shoes disappoint
It was completely different with the expensive sneakers. Roger’s Advantage in About for 150 euros and Blake Tenn in Hugo for 180 euros. The heel lining did not hold up. Both models are still sufficient. Sneakers from other big brands are inadequate. Converse All Star OX (80 euros) has the weakest heel lining. In Nebula in Geox (150 euros), the Air Force 1’07 in Nike (120 euros) and the sneakers U574 in New balance (110 euros) the soles were torn.
