Bream. Before the excavators arrive, the archaeologists arrive. And you won’t be disappointed. The discoveries are thousands of years old.
In fact, it was just a matter of modernizing a sports field in Bremen. But before the works Archaeologists made an exciting discovery. Researchers have discovered thousands of years Boneceramic discs and fire pits. Evidence that there used to be a settlement there.
Initial investigations have shown that the finds date back to the Bronze Age and early Iron Age. That would make some of them around 3,000 years old. “We will probably find more here, because it is a site that has been known since the 1930s,” said Matthias Antkowiak of the Bremen state archaeology office. The latest find is likely a cemetery with Bronze Age urn graves and a youngest settlement since the Iron Age.
