Blue light news from Berlin and Brandenburg from June 24, 2024: Federal Police recorded 16 unauthorized entries
2:34 pm: Over the weekend, the Federal Police discovered a total of 16 unauthorized entries German-Polish border crossing Europabrücke Neurüdnitz-Siekierki about. On Saturday night, between 9:15 pm and 10:40 pm, federal police arrested twelve Afghans aged between 18 and 35 at the border crossing. Schöneweide: Young people irradiate the S-Bahn with lasers
2:20 pm: Early on Sunday morning, at around 3:30 am, a 45-year-old S-Bahn driver reported that his train was at the Schöneweide S-Bahn station. 2pm: On Monday evening, at around 12:10, Deutsche Bahn security employees observed near the Greifswalder Straße S-Bahn station Pankow two people watching a parked S-Bahn train sprayed. When they left the track area, they managed to temporarily arrest one of the two people, a 25-year-old young man. The second person fled in an unknown direction. The alerted Federal Police took control of the arrested man shortly afterwards and seized several spray equipment and a camera as evidence. An investigation was launched against the man, who was already known to the police, on suspicion of material damage. He was then released again.
Weißensee: Drunk driver collides with motorcyclist
1:29 pm: Yesterday afternoon there was a Motorcyclist in an accident in Weissensee (Pankow) injured. According to a police report, the 34-year-old man was driving his Harley-Davidson on Falkenberger Strasse towards Gartenstrasse at around 5pm, when he collided with a Ford coming from the right, near Gartenstrasse. Its 43-year-old driver is said to have ignored the motorcyclist’s right of way when turning onto Falkenberger Straße. At the time of the accident, the motorcyclist was overtaking the cars in front of him and, therefore, was in the opposite lane. As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist fell and broke bones in both arms. He was taken to a hospital by the rescue team. A breath alcohol test performed on the driver showed a level of around 0.8 per mille – police took him into custody to take a blood sample and confiscated his driver’s license. The 43-year-old man was then released. The intersection of Falkenberger Strasse and Gartenstrasse was closed while the accident was reported.
Several injured in bus accidents in Reinickendorf and Schöneberg
1:24 pm: In the morning there are two bus accidents several people were injured. According to a police spokesperson, the fire occurred around 11 am. Man detained at BER on suspicion of human trafficking
