Berlin. Union is eagerly awaiting the final round. Instead of a place in the European Cup, this time it’s about staying in the league.
Union Berlin no longer have direct relegation in the Bundesliga on their hands. After the dramatic 2:3 at 1. FC Köln The Iron Men need to win in the last round of the Bundesliga against SC Freiburg next Saturday (15:30/Céu), otherwise they will be relegated to third place in the second division or even face direct relegation.

…with a win over Freiburg, if FSV Mainz 05 loses to VfL Wolfsburg or VfL Bochum loses to Bayer Leverkusen (Sunday) and Werder Bremen. If Mainz drew, Union would have to win by at least twelve goals to save themselves.
Union Berlin has to go to relegation…
…in a win against Freiburg, if FSV Mainz 05 scores at Wolfsburg and VfL Bochum against Bayer Leverkusen (Sunday) or at Werder Bremen.
…drawing with SC Freiburg.
…in the event of a defeat against SC Freiburg, provided that 1. FC Köln does not beat 1. FC Heidenheim or that Union’s goal difference (+3) remains better in the event of a Cologne victory.
