Berlin. A fire broke out at Alexanderplatz railway station in the early hours of the morning. As a result, the surrounding shops and rail services suffer.
At the Alexanderplatz A warehouse directly under the train tracks caught fire Monday morning. Local and long-distance traffic was therefore completely stopped between three and five o’clock, as announced by a fire department spokesman in the morning. The flames burned for about two hours before dying down. Fire Department managed to put out the fire. Therefore, no one was injured.

In the early hours of the morning, firefighters were faced with high flames and dense smoke coming from the approximately 50 square meter room. Initially, some trash cans burned directly on the railway line, then the fire spread to the depot. Overhead lines on the tracks were shut down while the fire was extinguished. A total of 32 firefighters controlled the flames.

Four neighboring stores are so smoky they can’t open on Monday. Police initially did not provide any information about the cause of this morning’s fire.
As a result, there are delays and cancellations in S-Bahn traffic. Lines S3, S5, S7, S75 and S9 are affected. While S7 and S9 have returned to their original timetable, the other three lines operate every 20 minutes.
