For experts: Can I beat market-wide ETFs with active funds?

The performance of active fund managers is not equally good across all fund groups. Therefore, the five-point strategy works differently depending on the fund group. Things have gone better in Europe. The following chart shows the outperformance of the five-point strategies relative to the relevant benchmark minus costs.

If a line goes up, the strategy is outperforming the fund group benchmark. If the line goes down, the strategy is doing worse. If the line is flat, the portfolio is invested in a top-ranked ETF. The five-point strategy always involves investing in the current 5-point funds with equal weighting. If there is no 5-point fund, you invest in a top-ranked ETF.

Tips: To see the current five-point funds, filter Fund Finder under >More Filters >Financial Testing Investment Strategies>Five Point Funds. Find out more here for Finanztest fund classification.
