Last night, Tinseltown was awash with the glittering chanteuses of the music world as they flocked en masse to the Grammys. Miley Cyrus wowed the crowds in custom Margiela, Dua Lipa opted for mermaid elegance in a silver Courreges gown and Tiffany & Co diamonds (in the form of a dazzling kissing koi carp choker, no less) and Olivia Rodrigo redefined retro glamour in a stunning archive Versace piece bedecked in crystals from the spring/summer ‘95 collection.

But the awe-inspired gasps from the crowds—and those style-sleuthing netizens religiously tuned into the red carpet reports—were reserved for Taylor Swift. The hitmaker has been experiencing worldwide adoration from her legions of adoring fans as of late, making the original “Beatlemania” look nothing more than a common cold. Her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs football player Travis Kelce has cemented them as the It-couple of the century; her Eras tour has reportedly brought in over $1 billion; and, in December, TIME Magazine announced her as their “Person of the Year.” Ever the relatable idol, she shared the cover with her blue-eyed Ragdoll cat, Benjamin Button, of course.

For her Grammy’s look, however, this pop princess seemed to have taken fashion inspiration from a real-life royal, as her Schiaparelli outfit would suggest. Arriving at the Crypto.com Arena (formerly known as Los Angeles’s Staples Center), the star donned a white column gown with a thigh-high split and over 300 carats-worth of layered Lorraine Schwartz diamond necklaces. She paired this look with statement black velvet opera gloves. Beguiling, naturally, but the elegant ensemble was reminiscent of another show-stopping fashion moment: the Princess of Wales at the BAFTAs last year.
