Stuttgart – After months of testing, this Ministry of Social Affairs The creation of a nursing chamber in Baden-Württemberg was declared a failure. The ministry announced today in Stuttgart that the so-called necessary quorum was missed by almost 3,400 votes.
The chamber would only have been created if at least 67,757 nurses had not raised any objections to its creation. However, only 64,380 of the approximately 120,000 registered nursing professionals had done this by the end of February.
Social Affairs Minister Manne Lucha was disappointed. “It’s no secret that I would like to see a nursing chamber created,” said the Green politician. They wanted to give this strong legitimacy to the upstream quorum. “Unfortunately, based on the results of the registration process, this is not the case. Now it’s time to accept this result.”
Apparently the group of those who want a nursing home and those who don’t want a nursing home is about the same size in the Southwest, according to Lucha. “Now it is important, and this unites all nursing staff and political leaders, to work on the professional policy issues of the future with commitment and with the greatest strength, even without a nursing chamber.”
