Berlin. The German Psychological Society (DGPs) sees a need for improvements in the planned Health Care Strengthening Act (GVSG). In the cabinet The project adopted mid-week recognized that the ongoing training of young psychotherapists needs to be reformed.

The lack of consideration of all the operational costs of outpatient clinics in continuous training presents them with “the serious problem” that continuous training is for psychotherapy-Graduates cannot afford it. Without clear funding commitments, adequate salaries cannot be paid in outpatient continuing education.
DGP President Stefan Schulz-Hardt emphasized: “We need a real and sustainable solution to finance psychotherapeutic training. This must be improved in the parliamentary legislative process.” (man)
